Mark August 26 on your calendars, folks. That\u2019s International Dog Day, founded in 2004 to encourage the adoption of shelter dogs and celebrate everything about humanity\u2019s erstwhile canine companions. And really, there\u2019s a lot to celebrate.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Because dogs are wonderful. That\u2019s an indisputable fact. In addition to giving your own dog an extra treat or belly rub, why not sport a shirt that lets everyone know exactly how you feel?\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A night in with wine and a dog.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n If you\u2019re the former, good on you. If you\u2019re the latter, we\u2019re afraid that\u2019s a deal-breaker.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n That\u2019s a genuine question. We legitimately can\u2019t think of a better justification for going or being anywhere.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Saves you from having to say those words all the time, too!\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Simultaneously the ugliest and cutest dogs in existence.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Because there\u2019s no relationship that\u2019s purer than that between a dog and its master.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n A boyfriend is temporary and fleeting. The love of a good boy (or girl) is eternal.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n We trust doctors, and we love dogs.
