Comfort Colors: Sizing Chart & Fit Guide (T-Shirts & Sweatshirts)

Comfort Colors: Sizing Chart & Fit Guide (T-Shirts & Sweatshirts)

Posted on April 28, 2026 by mcoffeyblue

Comfort Colors is a popular brand for their vintage garment-dyed colors, their fit, and their durable 100% cotton fabric (with cotton/poly blends for sweatshirts and hoodies).

While their tees and sweatshirts are not slim fitting, they’re still comfortable and fashionable to wear. They have a classic, almost boxy fit, allowing for an easy to upsize for a trendy oversized fit.

Nevertheless, choosing the right fit for your next custom shirts can be tricky, so before you go through several styles to find the best one, check out our rundown below. We’ll explore the most popular Comfort Colors T-shirt and sweatshirts, giving you the details you need to find the perfect style and fit for your needs.

T-Shirts

Comfort Colors 1717 Pigment Dyed Short Sleeve Shirt

The Comfort Colors 1717 Short Sleeve T-shirt is by far one of the most popular T-shirt blanks on the market. It has a classic T-shirt fit and is the most sought-after style to size up for baggy, oversized fit.

This particular style is available from Adult sizes Small through 4XL, making it simple to outfit your entire group or team.

Comfort Colors 6030 Short Sleeve Pocket Tee (Pigment Dyed)

The Comfort Colors 6030 Short Sleeve Pocket Tee has a lot in common with the 1717. Both are a classic, boxy style T-shirt fit, and the size measurements are also the same for both styles. The only thing separating them is that the 6030 has a pocket on the upper left side of the chest.

Comfort Colors 6014 Garment Dyed Long-Sleeve T-Shirt

The 6014 is a long-sleeve tee that’s garment dyed like the rest of their line, so the colors are distinct and the fabric is soft. Like the short-sleeved 1717, it’s a relaxed fit that can be worn oversized as well.

The cuffs are ribbed for a flattering look, and it’s pre-shrunk, so there’s no shrinkage to worry about. The sizing is the same as the short-sleeved tees, so it’s simple to find a flattering size in the long-sleeve 6014 as well.

Sweatshirts and Hoodies

Comfort Colors 1566 Crewneck Sweatshirt

While the Comfort Color T-shirts are generally made with 100% ringspun cotton, the Comfort Colors 1566 Crewneck Sweatshirt is made with a blend of 80% ringspun cotton and 20% polyester. However, it’s still garment-dyed for a unique color and soft feel.

The ribbed collar, cuffs, and waistband give it a classic, relaxed sweatshirt style, and the rolled forward shoulders seams allow for a casual fit. Due to its relaxed fit, this can also be worn in the stylish oversized look.

Just note that Comfort Colors’ sweatshirt sizing is already slightly wider than that of their T-shirts.

Comfort Colors 1567 Hooded Pullover Sweatshirt

Like the 1566, the Comfort Colors 1567 Hooded Pullover is made with a 80% ringspun cotton and 20% polyester blend. The 1567, however, has a jersey-lined drawcord hood, ribbed cuffs and a handwarmer front pocket. It’s still pre-shrunk like the other options here, so there’s no fear of shrinkage when you wash it.

The sizing is also the same as the Crewneck Sweatshirt, so it makes it simple to buy both sweatshirts in the same size and expect the same fit.

Tank Tops

Comfort Colors 9360 Pigment-Dyed Tank Top

True to the Comfort Colors line, the 9360 Tank Top is pigment dyed, soft, and made with 100% pre-shrunk ringspun cotton. It has a double-needle stitching on the neck, armholes, and the bottom hem, with a relaxed fit that you’d expect from Comfort Colors.

As far as sizing goes, the 9360 Tank Top is slightly narrower (but not by much), and the length is the same as their T-shirts. Because of this, we recommend measuring a well-loved tank top in your closet when choosing which size Comfort Colors tank top to purchase.

FAQs

Question: Do Comfort Colors Shirts Shrink or Run Small?

Answer: Comfort Colors shirts are pre-shrunk and soft-washed, so there’s no fear of additional shrinkage in the wash. And since they’re soft-washed, they give a soft, premium feel every time you wear it.

Question: How Do You Pick Your Shirt Size?

Answer: When choosing a size from this brand, we suggest measuring a well-loved shirt or sweatshirt that fits the way you like. Measure the width from across the chest, one inch below the armholes, and measure the length from the top of the collar to the bottom hem. Then, choose the size closest to these measurements, checking out our size charts below. If you’re wanting a trendy, oversized fit, go one to two sizes up.

Choosing the Correct Size for Comfort Colors Custom Apparel

Comfort Colors is a widely chosen brand for custom T-shirts, tanks, and sweatshirts, but it’s important to consider the fit and sizing before your purchase. Whether you like the classic T-shirt style of the 1717 or a long-sleeved option like the 4410, knowing how each garment fits helps to avoid unwanted sizing headaches later on.
