BlueCotton is actually an accident. In 1991, two college grads were hard on their luck and trying to find a job.
BlueCotton's first employees, Jim Madison and Angie Norrod, joined the team! Jim was a screen printer and Angie a graphic designer. Angie is still with the company today!
After years of leasing space, BlueCotton moved into the first building owned by the company. It was 12,500 square feet. While the company continued to grow we rented out space to other businesses to help with the cost.
Launched Greekt-shirts.com catering to fraternities and sororities across the country.
Launched the BlueCotton.com Design Studio to broaden our reach to any customer looking for custom apparel.
Expanded operations from 25,000 sq ft to 50,000 sq ft and added 40 team members to serve customers better!
Long-time employee, Julie Denton-Price, bought into the business to form today's partnership with Mike Coffey.
BlueCotton grew it's total investment in the Bitcoin Initiative to $160,000 in Bitcoins and Bitcoin mining. Created in 2022, the BlueCotton Bitcoin Initiative will provide payouts in Bitcoin to employees who stay with the company for at least 5 years. At the beginning of 2025 the investment was valued at over $500,000!
