Screen-printed custom t-shirts will stay looking good for many years, even decades, even outlasting your desire to wear the shirt. To make sure you get the most wear out of your t-shirt design for the long run, we recommend washing your custom t-shirts inside out in cold water and tumbling dry on a low heat setting. You’re probably going to want to skip the dry cleaner for your screen printed custom t-shirts. We don’t recommend it.

The vast majority of our t-shirts are decorated using screen printing. To screen print, we coat fine mesh screens with emulsion, digitally print your image on the emulsion, expose it with light, then blast out the unexposed bits with water. And just like that, a stencil’s born! Each color requires its own screen. We use a squeegee to print the ink onto your shirt. After printing all the colors, it takes a quick trip through a high-heat dryer, and you have a custom tee!

Orders with a large amount of colors (more than 8) may be decorated using the process Direct-to-Film.  This is most common when the design has a high number of colors and the order has a low number of items.

• Once you spot your design, click the Order Number, and hit the “Reorder” button to add it in your cart.
• Need to make changes? Click “Edit Quantities” to enter new sizes or “Edit” to switch garment style or color.

There are 4 ways to get the most value out of your custom screen printed or embroidered apparel order. The first two provide the most significant savings.

• When designing a screen printed garment, consider how many colors are in your design. The more colors, the more it will cost. Reducing the colors will lower the cost.
• Reduce the number of locations you decorate on a garment. Instead of designing on both the front and back, consider decorating only one location.
• The type of garment you select matters. Some brands and styles are more expensive than others. Use our Quick Price tool to compare prices before you design.
• Increase the number of items. The more you order, the better the price per garment.

Yes! While screen printing is the most popular, we see embroidered t-shirt orders all the time. Many customers use them for company uniforms or when they want their team to be comfortable while maintaining a professional and elevated look.

We can do it! Place your group order online then contact us by emailing tshirts@bluecotton.com or calling 800-536-1435 and speak to a real person! You will provide a spreadsheet with a breakdown of shirt colors and sizes along with the recipients name, address, city, state, and zip code. There is a charge of $6.95 per shipment to send t-shirts out individually.

If you have multiple business locations and would like to split ship your group order to those locations, the charge is $10 per additional address.

NONE! When Mike founded BlueCotton he was adamant our customers should not be surprised by any hidden fees at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay. You can use the Quick Price tool to receive a quote before designing, or see your price as you're designing.

Many custom screen print and embroidery businesses give you a price for the garment then hit you with art, setup, and delivery charges at checkout. Our pricing is built around the number of items you order, the style of product you order, the number of locations on the item you decorate, and how many colors are in each location designed. That's it!

To cover all our bases, some states do collect sales tax.

If we mess up the design, decoration locations, or give you the incorrect sizes, we'll replace the order for FREE! That should set you at ease! We understand that ordering custom apparel is a high stakes purchase. We are 100% committed to taking care of you. We will provide you with products exactly how you ordered them, on time and correct.

We also understand that sometimes our customers make a mistake with sizing or misspellings. We aren't able to accept returns since the items are custom, but we will work with you to get what you need! Many times we will offer a reprint at 50% off the original cost because we don't intend to make a profit off of your mistake. Simply contact our team for assistance!
